Greening the Earth Company director (elect) Dr John Leake has been invited to address 8th Annual World Congress of Food and Nutrition-2019 (WCFN-2019) in September next year in Qingdao, China.
WCFN-2019 will cover a wide range of Food and Nutrition research, regarding:
- Food Detection, Quality and Safety Control;
- Basic Research of Food Science,
- Advanced Food Biotechnology;
- Food Economy;
- Policy and Culture;
- Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods;
- Diet and Health;
- Special Food Research;
- Advances Nutrition Research;
- Human Nutrition through Life Courses, and
- Nutrition and Disease Management.
Dr. Leake’s address will relate to ways forward for drylands, focusing on bio-diversity with significant references to Greater Central Asia, including the drylands of North and North-West China; fringe irrigation areas and how the World can address degradation by impacting positively on the ecology of these areas; including the poverty of those who live there.
Dr. Leake’s address will offer significant contributions to the mitigation of climate impacts through the increase in biological activity in soils and improved productivity from carbon sequestration (such as the Greening the Earth Program) for changes in range management, enhanced biodiversity, income-earning opportunities; better use of water resources for vegetation, animals and overall improving the lifestyles of the inhabitants.
